One player from each team comes to the board and answers a question. Teams take turns, round after round. The faster the answer, the more points (3 · 2 · 1) — and only three teams make it to the podium.
1 · How many teams?
Each team answers one question per round.
2 · How many rounds?
A round = one question for every team.
Total questions this game: 16 · never repeated, reshuffled every single game.
3 · Speed
Thinking time per question.
The faster you answer, the more you score: first third of the time = 3 points, middle third = 2, last third = 1. ⭐ Challenge questions are worth double.

1 · Word + meaning
stubborn = never changes their mind
Becomes a multiple-choice, gap-fill or unscramble question.
2 · Your own sentence
She ______ her ankle skiing. = sprained
Your sentence appears on the board with the gap.
3 · Just the word
goggles
Comes up as missing vowels or listen & write — no meaning needed. If it's a unit word, the game reuses its own clue.
One item per line. Start a line with * to make it a ⭐ B2 Captain's Challenge word. Paste as many as you like — 4 or more gives the game enough options for multiple choice.
5 · Captain's Challenge ⭐
Extra B2 vocabulary for your strongest players.
One question per round uses harder B2 words that are not in the book. The screen announces it before the player comes to the board, so each team can send their captain — and every team gets the same number of challenges.
6 · Exercise formats
Tap to switch each format on or off.
Everything except multiple choice is written on the board and scores +1 extra point. An on-screen keyboard appears, so no physical keyboard is needed. Listen & write reads the word out loud (the music stops so the class can hear it).
Reading voice
Pick the voice that sounds most human on this computer and try it before the lesson. Voices with “Natural”, “Neural” or “Google” in the name are the good ones; “eSpeak” or “Compact” are the tinny robots.
